I looked up, up, up finally finding the top of the 70-foot Dragon roller coaster. We were at Ocean Park in Hong Kong. I had just decided that I was going to ride
my first roller coaster that had three upside-down loops. “You’re really going to do that?” said my
sister. “Mmmmm.” I grumbled. I was starting to feel very scared but excited
at the same time. My dad, my sister and I
were all waiting for my mom and uncle to get off of the Free Fall. About 10 minutes later, they hurried up to us
laughing their heads off, talking about how startling the ride was.
Finally in
the Dragon roller coaster waiting line, my mom, my uncle and I waited. I felt like I was hyperventilating. We waited for at least 15 minutes, and then
finally I plopped down into the seat next to my mom. We got locked into our seats and then started
to move. I was gripping the seat so hard
I thought it would pop. We clattered up
the little hill and zoomed down the other side.
We hurtled around a corner and started to ascend toward our first loop-da-loop. I squeezed my eyes shut and felt my stomach
go into my throat. I loved it and hated
it at the same time. After the last
loop, I opened my eyes just as we jolted around a corner. Finally, we stopped and, too dizzy to walk
properly, hobbled out of our seats to meet my sister and dad again. “That was awesome!!!!” I screamed. “Really?” my sister asked. “Yes!”
